About me: My Love for Sneakers was always synonymous with my love for sport, particularly basketball.

The infatuation started when I was 10, my Great Aunt brought over some shoes from the U.S.

My eldest brother had a Pair of Air Jordan Maroon 6s, the other a pair of Converse React joints, and I had a brand spanking pair of new Air Jordan 7 Raptors.

The only problem – they were a full size too big!The next year was spent taking them out of my closet, putting them on to see how they fit, jumping off the top bunk in them, and then carefully placing them back in the box and then the closet.

The day they fit was awesome and it kicked off(pun intended) a Love affair of Sneakers that lasted to this day…

These days, I’m pretty much into everything – from performance, running, basketball, fashion and everything in between.

I’m a shoe tech nerd, interested in what goes into a shoe and how it all comes together as much as I love the history and backstory behind every pair of sneakers!

My top three sneakers:

Air Jordan 7 Raptors: Read the story above – nuff said.

Nike Kobe 8s: The Nike Kobe line was a game changer as far as performance shoes were concerned. While there were a few people that would mess with lows on court, it was the Kobe 4 that totally changed the perception of the masses. Mobile, light and fluid – the Kobe 8 was the peak of what the Kobe line tried to accomplish.

Air Jordan XI Concords: While the Jordan 7 has the most sentimental value to me, the most beautiful in my eyes is the Jordan XI. The Air Jordan XI is where the height of aesthetics met the very best of the performance technology back in the day. From the shiny patent, the carbon fibre shank, the mesh, the bungee lacing system to the icy, icy outsole: this shoe is sneaker perfection.
